Korp: Webshop concept

To sharpen my UI design skills, I created a webshop concept. Utilizing made-up brand information as a foundation, I delved into the project, focusing on practical skill improvement.

To aid in the process, I came up with a concise concept text, basic branding guidelines and a list of fundamental design requirements.

Concept

Korp helps consumers create a comfortable, sustainable and expressive home by offering eco-friendly designer furniture that lasts a lifetime.

Brand

  • Bold (not timid)

  • Modern (not old-fashioned)

  • Durable (not wear-and-tear)

  • Credible (not shady)

Design requirements

  • Products must be at the forefront, very prominent.
     

  • The site must be responsive and work equally well on all devices.
     

  • The site must have a bold & modern look.
     

  • Trust-building features must be available (reviews, rating etc).
     

  • The site must provide inspiration and guidance.

First impression

Users are greeted by a stylish header, setting the brand's tone and identity. It includes a clear top menu and highlights a selected campaign. Below, the eye-catching display of New Arrivals swiftly showcases the webshop's product style.

A mega menu with supporting images helps the customer find the right path. Customers can choose to view all products in a specific category or filter out the right products by viewing all products in the main category.

Explore ideas

To help the customer get ideas about what they're interested in, a simplified menu with popular subcategories is presented. A box with an Instagram-integrated gallery offers both inspiration, reassurance, and marketing for the company's social media. Finally, a carousel with products that are currently extra popular is displayed.

Informative articles alongside a summary of the freshest and most enticing news and promotions furnish customers with both valuable knowledge and practical guidance.

Keep in touch

Customers have the convenience of effortless newsletter sign-ups and easy access to the company's social media platforms. In the footer, alongside essential contact details, order information, and payment methods, there's also a brand information video for a personalized touch.
